O was wondering the same thing about the heat with both sides being on the same side wont one efect the other?
 
I went with a bottom to top flow FMIC. When using a heat exchanger, heat removal is going to be the same if the surface area is the same. Yes, one corner is going to heat soak but with a side to side you get a whole side that heat soaks. Heat is going to spread through the whole thing. One thing I did to help was to vent the BOV before the IC. Why do you want to cool the air charge you are just going to vent?

You dont loose much flow with the 180 degree pipe you have to use with the top to bottom intercooler. ecspecially if your going to be doing a short route piping for the upper. Im still on the t2 small and i contacted ets before i ordered the 180 pipe and they said it should not hurt flow that bad aslong as its asmooth transition. And saying that people with 16g and 50 trim turbos should go with the side to side intercooler. The t28 flows around the same as a 16g.
 
RRE sells a Griffin/Spearco top to bottom flow intercooler that I've had pretty good luck with. RRE Intercoolers and Parts

I had this exact one for years (18"x6" core), and had excellent results with it to over 400whp on my 2G on 2.25" IC pipes. Great efficiency with low pressure drop.

You can also look into Procharger brand FMIC's since they use similar designs and are usually pretty cheap.

Here is a link to one that can be modified to work on your application with a little cutting and welding of the lower end tank (it just needs to be chopped off, and flipped around and re-welded to work for your specific application.
