its time to upgrade and i know NOTHING about it...i was thinking going with agx's all around but i kind of want to lower the front an inch....would it be bad to just use stock springs on the rear with agx's and 1 inch drop springs on the front? or will 1 inch not leave enough travel? i dont want to bottom the shock out....basically this car is strictly drag, i dont really care about handling turns and shit....im tired of my muffler smacking the ground on a launch though...hook me up with your opinions please :thumb:

ok i suggest the H&R sport spring for you. it will give you what your looking for from what you discribe above. i run them on my 1g. they gave me the right amount of drop about 1-1/4inch or so. you can run the stock shocks with them or a mild upgrade shock. both will work well, but i would get a sport shock to go with them. since yours are blown.

i lived in rapid city SD for a few years and if its anything like where you are up north you dont want to be too low for various reasons. imo

example my civic (stock susp) was froze to the ground while i was at work one day had to have a guy i work with give me a ride home till the weather got a little better the next day. the tires broke loose but just keept spinning LOL. the rest of the car was stuck frozen to the ground

it also sucks to plow through the snow with the front end.

P.S. dont lower the front only please.
also i can post a pic if you want to see how much its lower then stock if you need to see.
"stock shocks with H&R's sport spring."

good luck :thumb:

yeah post a pic please. I dont daily drive my talon so im not to worried about being low, i basically just want the front only lowered to help with weight transfer, plus there still some muscle car in me :shhh: i think it looks kinda mean :thumb:

Your car looks nice rsr93! Where did you get your springs. Are they availible for FWD 1gs?

Sorry I hi-jacked your thread Brain.

did you decide on your suspension devil ??
yeah i think ill take your advice and try those out...along with some kyb agx's.....i like the looks of yours so i think ill be happy with them :thumb: thanks

How do the H&R Sportlines compare to the Eibach pro-kit? They seem to lower the car about the same, but which one is stiffer? Anybody have any personal experience with either of these?

Sorry Brian. . Stupid typos!

Thanks for the link rsr93. Better price than the Eibach springs.

I heard somewhere that the spring rate for H&Rs is higher than Eibachs. I forget where though.

I plan on running these H&R springs with GR-2's in the front and AGX's in the rear so I can stiffen the rear up when I'm racing. Just thought I'd throw my idea out there incase anyone has comments. .

I went agx's and ground control coilovers. IF you want to adjust your ride to the perfect height here it is. In the winter you could run it stock height, and in the summer drop it as much as you want. Handles like a dream also.

i had coil overs on my 2g, not a big fan of those

Did you have Ground control, or some junk coilovers from ebay or something. I had a set of coilovers before, the 89.00 ones on ebay. Straight junk, but these GC are a nice piece. I love them
