Heres how I look at the restriction of the MAF in blow through vs draw through. In pull through the sensor needs to be at least the diameter of the turbo inlet. In my case, with a 3" inlet, I would prefer the 3.5" MAF to keep it bigger. If you have a TSO4 cover or other 4" inlet, you dot have much chioce in the matter. In blow through, your IC piping is only 2.5" in most cases anyway, so the 3" is a little bigger to counter the slight resistance it offers. After the turbo, the air is already compressed, so you can get away with a smaller sensor. Aside from that, it works equally well in either location. :)
