Hello, I recently acquired a second AWD manual - that I hope to swap to AUTO.
But the first thing I need help with is the Dash assembly. This car came completely stripped and with many other donor parts as well, so I am asking for help from you guys that are much more experienced.

I have never removed the dash before, so this is new territory for me, please point out what other things live behind the dash, so I don't forget anything.
Is the blower motor assembly different from the evaporator assembly? I'm having a hard time noticing what I may be missing I posted images to show what I do have.

And the car is stuffed like a turkey with parts on top of parts so it's my mistake for not noticing before. Thanks all.

That’s a completely disassembled dash! What was the previous owner planning to do — a repaint with color change?

You already have some of the best diagrams showing what you need to see. The evaporator core is in the housing right ahead of the blower motor. Did the car originally have A/C? When we changed out our evaporator core, the housing that the blower motor attached to had to be removed first.

You heater core is after the blower motor, closer to the center of the dash.

Can you bench assemble the housings to see if it makes a complete tunnel? It looks like the major pieces are there.

Clean out the inside of the duct work as you go to help get rid of the musty old car smell.

LOL is that a flower pot in the passenger seat?
The order of operations for reinstalling the HVAC is install the heatercore/blend door assembly, place the blower motor/recirc flapper up in the corner (but do not bolt down yet!) , then install the AC evap core between the 2 other pieces. You have to align and line up the bolt holes onces the blower and evap core are back in place then you can bolt the assembly in.

I would think you would want to have the dash wiring harness in place first before reinstalling the HVAC.

If your taking the evap core out of the plastic assembly to save weight , a cadillac escalade 07-15 air filter fits inside the plastic housing pretty well. It looked like the ideal place to put an air filter was between the evap core housing the heater core but it would need a much small filter than the above.

Are you running a LSD rear or open diff?

LOL Yes, it came with the car, I told yell it came with lots of parts.

See this why I need the help, I though the shell already had the harness! " See first image"

And the car came with an open diff manual installed AND an AUTO LSD spare.

So that's a good idea, I went and looked again at all my images I took of all the parts when I did a thorough inventory of parts. And I do not see the blower motor assembly, which looks to be separate at the furthest right corner (passenger), it appears to mate with the evaporator core assembly.

I think i am missing this part.

The original owner "indented to" swapped out the original all grey interior to the (black & grey). And originally the car was to be stripped and repainted inside, but the car sat for about 10yrs after the exterior was painted.
IDK if it had AC, I assume it did but some parts are missing, like the driveshaft and now the blower assembly.
