The car is a 1996 gsx. I removed my old 7-bolt and I'm replacing it with a different fresh 7-bolt. I took the new block to a machine shop. They insisted on purchasing the main bearings after they confirmed that the crank was sound. I've got all the parts back home now.
When I disassembled my old 7-bolt the thrust bearing was what I expected. Two pieces in total (one for the top, one for the bottom). But when I opened up the Top Line box of main bearings bought by the machinist I found 6 pieces making up the thrust bearing. I'm not sure how or where to install them.
Looked everywhere I could think of for the answer before I posted.
Thanks.

Edit:
Make that 2 normal main bearings and then two side pieces that make up the thrust bearing. This is difficult to describe...does anybody know what I'm talking about or is more description, maybe some pics required?

Figured it out. Late '98 7-bolts have the three piece thrust bearing. The crank is cut differently to accept them and supposedly yields a lower ratio of walked motors.
