Help Identifying This Part...Pictures

Hi,

My car is a 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I'm rebuilding the entire car from ground up, and I'm now beginning to reassemble the engine bay. I do not know what this part is or what it does. It is from under the front passenger fender behind the bumper. It is full of vacuum lines smells like exhaust or something....

During my reassembly I am deleting everything not needed and tucking everything else, so I would like to determine what this part is so I know what I am going to do with it.

looks like a charcoal canister.. but i maybe wrong.

EVAP can, If you don't have emissions, its not needed. By removing it tho it might throw a CEL.

I'll be using AEM EMS4 instead of stock ecu, I should be able to tune around any code thrown correct?

If its anything like link, (which I suspect its more and beyond(( don't quote me tho)) you should be able to turn the ECU to ignore that code. Someone that runs an AEM ECU could chime in and be more helpful tho.
