im trying to install a rubber antenna on my 98 gst spyder but am encountering problems...anyone know the steps to installing it thanks

anyone?????i am stuck on weather i have to take out the whole power antenna assembly or just remove the mast on the antenna which doesnt seem like it just screws off..
