Help Diagnose Wierd Noise Please

hey guys,not sure this is where to put this thread,but this is where i figred it best and its not a newbie question soo? anywayz
my 90 gsx has been running great until the other night,when you accelerate and then let off it make a weird rattleing noise? like if something is loose or someting....
its only when i accelerated and push the clutch in, the rattle will happen,but wont do it when im not driving?
so i cant even really pin point where exactly the noise is coming from,### i have to be driving the car...ive checked axles,mounts t-case,all common things?

anyone ever experianced this? help?

I thought that was normal for our cars? My car rattles and squeaks just from my cat climbing on it.

Seriously though, can you give us some more information about the type of rattle you are hearing? Metal? Plastic? Front or back?
Can you feel it through the pedals? the floor? your seat? not at all?

Edit: I get a slight rattle on decel from an exhaust leak, do you have any leaks in your exhaust?

It could be the springs popped out of your clutch disc, or the infamous coastdown rumble.

My car makes a squeeking sound if i let off real quick to make the car jerk. One of the hangers on my ehxaust isn't connected even though the piping is on secure it squeeks and kind of sounds liek a tial BOV. Sometimes it's worse. I need to get that hanger...
Maybe it's something as simple as that.

ok, i cant feel it anywhere,i can just hear it...its coming from the front of the car under the hood somewhere...
it sounds like metal,when i accelerate and push the clutch in,it makes more of a rattling metal noise,car has stock exhaust,clutch etc and nothing is touching.
still does it,im stumped?

I just had teh exact same problem as you, had it for a year and couldn't figure out what the noise was. It turned out it was the little cup at the end of the T-case where the driveshaft goes it, it was completely loose, i just cut it off. I looked and looked before but couldn't figure out the problem until my buddy got tired while we were swapping transmissions and rested his hand on it and almost busted his as when it moved. I wouldn't hurt to check that.
