Please help me diagnose this leak (picture inside).

When I took off the transfer case to swap my power steering rack, I may have discovered the source of the tranny leak I've had for months. Every time I wipe it off, a little bead comes back down. It's a VERY slow leak. Is this enough to diagnose it and if so, where's it coming from?

well by the looks of it, its coming out of the inside of the bellhousing. If so, it might be your input shaft seal. Thats the main shaft coming out of the tranny going to the motor. The seal is on the inside of the transmission, not fun to get to.
