Yea I'm in a need of some help from others out there. I have did research all over the web.

For months I have read up on the coolant system. I don't know if porting the thermostat in my case will help or not. I'm running a non coolant fed turbo now. A hx40. I have deleted my heater core that was a by pass in a 2g. Since I don't have the heater core anymore I have no by pass. So I can port my thermostat housing but turbo was another way to get coolant to re-route. I want to see what others have did when not using stock turbo. Thanks

This is turbosax2 idea and I'm giving him credit for what I'm talking about. Here is his post and its on this page half way down.

Then yes, I would suggest porting it. This isn't something super critical like an oil filter housing dealing with oil pressure. But if the water pump has nowhere to push the coolant, ultimately, it's life expectancy will dramatically decrease.

Ok good thing I did make this post to port or not port. I'm going to port, I will just port like turbosax2 did nothing crazy.

Kinda hard to tell how well it matches Eric's with it installed. I do hope you aren't removing material with it installed.

Anyway, anything is better than nothing. As he explained in his thread, a good test would be the flow through using a normal sink faucet.
