I am trying to add a coolant temp gauge. I guess the OEM sender is a different thread type, it doesn't like the new sender.

Is there another place I can thread it into? I would really like to avoid tapping the filler housing, but will do if need be.

you can cut the upper radiator hose and use a Greedy adapter. I just tapped the elbow from the thermostat housing for the upper radiator hose.

i have posted something similar to this post..... on my car, there was a brass plug in the front of the thermostat housing.... i just removed it, and the adapter that came with the gauge threaded right in. Done and done. I have a 1G engine though, so it might be different.

Easiest way is to get a Greddy connector. Under 20 bucks. :thumb:
