Help! I have a 2g N/T Talon and all of a sudden it started acting up. The problem is that while I'm driving on the highway and a curve forms on the road, my rear end begins to slide from side to side. It used to not do this but all of a sudden it started doing this.I was wondering if anyone else has ever had this problem and how did they fix it. Any help would be useful.

thanks
steve

Never really heard of that. Are you sure they're not just working on the road there?

you see thats what i thought also but it does it on any type of surface. its like when i'm driving the rear end feels like it just wants to fish tail.

Sounds like you have some worn out bushings in the rear. Does the rear end kind of wiggle side-to-side over bad bumps in the rear as well? Either way, just jack the car up in the back and take a look around. The first place I would look is the upper knuckle bushings, the one that sits right above the rear tires. These seem to be the most common for wearing out and will cause the symptoms you described(they did on my car at least).

Hey I had this happen to me once in my 2GNT... The crap shop that did my 4-wheel alignment did not tighten my toe adjustment to spec and it became so loose that my rear wheels would turn when making sharp turns around corners.... basically I had uncontrollable 4 wheel steering... it was crazy scary when it first happen.. You get no warning... no info from the tires or anything... the car just begins to yaw and when you go to correct it become an over correction...

Kick your back wheels near the front and rear edge of the tires... see if they move inboard or outboard... aso listen for a rattle.. if they do move or have a rattle sound then you may need to have your toe adjustment tighten...

This may not be your issue... just a thought since it sounds like what happen to me.

What ever it is just becareful and safe!!!!

too low of air pressure in the tires.
worn out wheel bearings
anything mentioned before me

SO if it is the bushings where can i get some to replace the older ones?
