Hey guys I just bought my 97 GST recently and I am having strange rubbing noise from the engine area. Whenever I would make a Quick right turn lets say 20MPH I hear this rubbing noise from the engine, Is this a sign of crank walk ?? But my clutch pedal feels fine and my idle is smooth eveyrhting drives good except when I make this quick right turn then I get that noise. I've been reading about crank and there symptons none of those match my situation.

I am not exactly sure if its from the engine but it sounded like from under the hood so I assume its from the engine.

by mechanical do you mean metal to metal? or like a screech?
when youre stopped somewhere, turn the wheel all the way to the left then all the way to the right... if it makes the same noises, check youre cv boots

when car is not moving it has no noise, it only happens when u turn fast like 20 25 mph turn. SOunds kind like metal to metal belt, pulley I dont really know how to descrivbe it.

It seems when I make the fast right turn , something spinning is moving and when you slow down the noise is gone. DOesnt happen when I make a fast left only to the right

ok along with checking what i mentioned earlier, check the dust guards behind youre front rotors, those things are piece of shiat, and tend to lean on the rotor sometimes, mayne this is youre problem

brake pads, wheel bearings, general steering system in general... its a noise, everything has potential to make noise, and piss its owner of....
now its time to eliminate possibilities
