Winnipeg,
Well i am in the middle of removing my head and one of the motor mount bolts stripped on me  . What should I do? Is there anyway to remove the head without removing the side motor mount? If not how should i go about this? If it matters at all i am pulling the head off my parts car so I dont care if i cant reinstall it I just want the head off the car.

Thanks

Just cut the tb, remove the tb cover bolt from between the cam gears, and lift the head off. The mount is not connected to the head in any way.

Well thats great news. I think I know what bolt your talking about is it right in the middle and just under the cam gears, kinda hidin. If it is how would i go about getting it out? The mount arm seems to be in the way. Do i need to remove the lower timing belt cover?

Oh also if anyone has any suggestions on removing the intake manifold plate that would be great because I cant get a wrench on the top 2 and i cant even find the lower one.

.

I have just left the bolt in before and when the head is lifted off of the block, it will break the center out of plastic cover. If it is of no value, it wont hurt to break it.

Oh ok, so the bolt is only holding the plastic cover to the head and nothing more. Great. Did you have any advice on removing the manifold plate? That is the last bolt i need off.

All I can suggest there is a 14mm shallow socket, 3/8" drive ratchet, and a few bloody knuckels. Beyond that, I have no more advice. It is easier to remove the head with the top bolts taken out. If you just remove the single bottom bolt, it can be a pain with the bracket still attached to the im.
