ok so i went to install the fpr a couple of days ago and well those lttle round black spacers popped out :thumbdown :thumbdown  ... well i didnt think too much of it and didnt knopw where they came from so i just left them off... i only have two of them im going to go look for the third one now but where do those belong and what problems can come from not having them in. thanks

It could be 1 of 2 things:

1) fuel rail spacer - they space the fuel rail out from the head. It's alright to have 1 missing, but its always better to have them all on so you can be sure that your fuel rail isn't being flexed from overtightening on the bolt that's missing the spacer.

2) Injector seal - if that's the case, you're gonna have one MASSIVE boost leak, and your engine bay will reek of gasoline until you replace it. I wouldn't recommend driving around w/o that peice in place if this is the part that fell out.

are they the spacers for the fuel rail? if so they go between the fuel rail and the head, the three bolts that hold the the on fuel rail go through them. i think i seen some on the machv website.

no its definitely the fuel rail spacer if i cant find the third how should i place the two that i have
i read that if i do the two outside ones only it can crack in the middle.. is it ok without any?>

No, you have to have the spacers there for the proper distance between the rail and the head for the injectors to fit. Leave the middle one out, but only BARLY tighten the bolt. or just leave that bolt out.

thanks for the help guys, although after like thirty minutes i did find u[p finding it, in probably the most tightest spot imaginable (probably why it still was there after 3 days of driving without it) and got them all back on.

prolly in the back of the block underneith the starter, huh?

Yeah i left those out and the injector seals and it was kinda cool....didnt run for shit and so i popped the hood and looked to see what was wrong. it was night and needless to say there were 4 fire balls come out in a cool sequence. they shot up like 3 or 4 feet so i was having fun and drove it/tried to drive it with the hood off around town...........hints why you shouldnt work on your car drunk :shhh:

Yup, always there. I dropped mine twice. I ended up using like 5 extensions on my ratchet and knocking it off. Or if you have really skinny arms, you can actually reach your hand up to the top of the block, but expect a lot of cuts and scratchs.

LOL yeah i had to get underneath and squeeze my hand in that tiny area under the manifold and try to grab it. everytime i thought i had it, it would slip right out of my fingers, but with a little bit of patience it came out.
