I have a 2002 Eclipse Spyder GS (Code 4G64, 2.4L, 4 Cylinder).

The speedometer goes nuts frequently, Battery voltage drops, and I get a code saying Generator FR Terminal Circuit Fault.

Can anyone point me in a direction?

In the past couple months I have done the following:
Rebuilt Engine, replaced clutch assembly, clutch slave cylinder, battery, timing belt, timing pulleys, water pump, serpentine belts, AC compressor, spark plugs, coil packs, power steering pump, crank position sensor, MAF sensor, and fuel pump.

I have not a clue where to begin with this problem!

Update:
Just drove it around the corner and the odometer increased by 30 miles...
I'm thinking the ECM failed? Can anyone confirm?

Update: So now while I'm driving it, the E-brake light will flash with the battery voltage light every 3-5 seconds and the headlights will get brighter with them for a quick second. Also, it will randomly go into a missfiring fit for a few seconds then go away. This happens every few hours.

Also, I read everything on that link before I created this thread, no one on that thread seemed to have the same issues as I do, that is why I created this. I hope someone out there has had similar issues and knows what I'm dealing with here. I just ordered a brand new Alternator, starter and lifters (starter and lifters are a seperate issue). Hopefully its just something to do with the Alt (I doubt it).

Sounds like an issue with your alternator or voltage regulator, which may be ecu controlled so there could be issue with that as well, not familiar with 3rd Gen at all but I do believe there are some similarities to a 2nd gen. You may want to try a 3rd Gen forum or evo forum if you don't get answers from here. Also if you have a digital multimeter you should check to see what voltage you are making and you may have a short I would check continuity through some of your powers and grounds.

nwBryce89 sounds like he is on the right track. Check voltage while cars running at battery should b over 13.7 if lower alternator if higher get a power supply schematic and start testing voltage on ecu out puts might b acting up
