hey guys im tradeing in my daily driver for a 91 awd talon with a ton of parts BUT the 2nd gear syncro is gone on it now i have the money for a rebult and all that but the thing is im goning back to school about a week after i get the car and i need a car to move back down there and this will b my daily driver then. so i just want to get the 2nd grear syncro replaced does anyone know of anywhere around naperville or chiagoland area that does a good job and is also pretty reasonible? or if you know anywher and could tell me about how much am i looking for ti have it done i have no clue thanks

I'd get the basic shep racing trans rebuild... The lowest price one if you just want a very reliable trans quick and on a budget.

[runon] don't type in one big run-on it gets very annoying and very hard to follow if you go to shepracing or teamrip you can look at their transmission rebuild options or go to a local trans shop if all you want is 2nd gear syncro replaced chances are there are more things that need to be taken care of while the trans is apart so plan on spending around $900 for a good rebuild or just buy another used 1g awd trans and slap it on since they are easy to find but who knows how long that will last [/runon]

well thanks for the help but i already have an english teacher thanks! as for the rebuild its not an option cause i need to have this taken out fixed and turned around and put in in 5-7 days so im on a time crunch

also i cant take it out to work on myself b/c its frezing out, and i dont have the garage space now to do anything
