Hello I'm looking For some help

I have a 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS. I want to put some performance upgrades on it. I'm only 17 and don't know a whole lot on what I could do? I want to get a faster car without breaking my bank. $2,000 and under would be ideal. Thanks and hope to get some good answers!

PS: It is stock right now, even exhaust.

Only things to do to a n/a are intake and exhaust. Wont even noticed the difference. If you really want a fun fast car then you should save up and buy a fwd turbo or awd turbo. Other then that your really limited to adding power to your n/a

Well he did say "performance" upgrades and that doesn't always mean faster to some people ha. Maybe he can upgrade the handling and enjoy a mild auto cross toy until he has funds for something with power? If you are looking to go fast don't expect much out of that GS. Intake would be a good starting point to get something you can hear and enjoy the feeling of a bit. You won't really gain a ton of power but it can be an enjoyable modification. There are number of turbo cars in ok condition you could purchase for about $2k you might want to consider that option.

well i am 16 and have a 99 eclipse gs and i couldn''t be happier I've done a fair amount of research and there is plenty of mods for hp and suspension. just check ebay and craigslist a ton!

if you cant find what you want in your area then that's the perfect time for a road trip with a buddy! I live near seattle and I drove to Oregon to pick up my gsx.
