i just got a 1997 eclipse gsx let me know if this car looks legit- Motor/trans:
6 bolt swap 19,000miles on the motor and clutch
no balance shafts
All new oil pump, water pump, gaskets, oil filter bracket, oil pan, timing belt, timing belt tensioner and idler. Basically a new motor, everything has been replaced with Mitsu parts.
Stock tranny
Act2600 clutch -600miles
Act lightened flywheel - 600miles
Stock 5spd with bg syncro shift fluid
Stock x-fer case with redline shock proof fluid
Stock rear diff with redline shock proof
2nd does not grind.
Slave Cyclinder -500 miles.
DNP Tubular Exhaust ManiFold - 3000 miles on it

Head:
SBR Stage 4 With comp valve job
Arp head studs
Ferrea SS valves and stem seals
Manley Springs and titanium retainers

only thing i dont understand is how did this car put down around 350-360 remeber seeing dyno papers cant find them now.. but is that possible with 550fic injectorss? I just changed the clutch and fly wheel and put 600 on it went to chicago LOL
 
They must have really been pushing the limits with 550s. The car seems pretty stoutly built, but why would they have cut corners on the injectors, especially when it has a bunch of new engine work?
 
If i get new injectors can the safc2 rescale tthe bigger inecjtors? And btw i need a new rear axle were do j fend them at?

I agree the 550's are lacking for such a setup. You can go up to 650/660 on the SAFC, it simply can't compensate for anything much larger. You could get the ECU EPROM converted and then get a pre-programmed EPROM chip set to whatever size injectors your running, then you could continue to use the SAFC. However, at that point your half way to DSMLink anyways, so I'd suggest springing for that. Then you can run over 1000cc injectors, control timing, and much more.

So what exhaust mani is on it?? You said has both DNP tubular and SBR stage 2 manifolds. Seems like a solid set up except for the lack of injector.
 
Was the car dyno at a higher elevation? People don't think about it but you gotta tune for the area your in. I live in el paso and I smoke my dad everytime he is here but when I drive to houston to see him his car always dominates mine
