helicoil the intake side

Ok so i looked around on the form and have not found anything for helicoiling the intake manifold side. The threads in mine have been pulled out due to the previous owners screw up. If any one has done this before please could you tell me the size of the heli coil that you used.

Im assuming you're referring to the head. There are 2 sizes. 8x1.25 and 10x1.25. Which one needs repair?

If its the 8x1.25, I've repaired them to a 8x1.25 using the proper heli-coil kit.

Same goes for 10x1.25.

Basically, when you heli-coil it, you're drilling it out large enough to insert the heli-coil so you can can simply use the original hardware you had. If you've never done it, grab someone with experience because you can screw it up big time.

8x125 are the ones i need to repair and how long are the bolts I have a magnus heat barrier gasket if that helps.

so do I, I just use the stock bolts with my Magnus intake, seems to work fine.

I preemptively pulled all my studs and helicoiled both the intake and exhaust side. A tip is to loctite the heli coils in so you dont pull them out when torquing the studs and bolts in.

Good deal so now i am in a bigger hole...My intake manifold broke luckily My buddy has a few of them. Thanks for all of the help.
