I have purchased a JMF Street Intake Manifold for my 1g DSM. I seem to be having a slight problem with the getting a gasket to seal between the manifold and the Throttle Body. When I removed the throttle body, I noticed that the OEM gasket wasn't even touching the manifold all the way around; the hole for the throttle body on the manifold is bigger than the gasket by about 2mm. I tried using the gasket that goes on the other side of the throttle body, but it too still barely touches all the way around and still does not seal. I should note that I am using a 91-94 N/T throttle body. And I’ve tried the normal square gasket and the round one (that goes between the turbo TB and the TB elbow). Both would not seal.

To put it simply, the hole for the throttle body is bigger than the gasket itself and because of this cannot seal. Anyone else using a JM Manifold with a 1g TB? What did you use to seal the TB/Manifold?

get a roll of gasket paper and make your own gasket.

I've done this for years and it works great. Get a role of gasket material from your local parts store (got mine from AutoZone), cut a piece slightly larger than the throttle body, place it over the throttle body and carefully cut it to shape with an Exacto knife using the throttle body as a guide.
