Hello

I’m installing a headliner in my vehicle for the first time but not sure the correct way as it never had one in it when I bought it. No sunroof and all of the old threads I’ve found the photo links are dead.

A and B pillars are out including sun visors so everything is accessible, the liner was redone so not sure I have all the correct holes. Does anyone have a photo showing the mounting points, also does the done light back tray go in before the liner or that goes in after so it holds it up?

Thank you

I don't know how much of a hurry you are in to finish this, but I have a non-sunroof Talon I am gutting (for restoration). I could take a look at the overhead lamp assembly and tell you how it's assembled. The mounting points are tabs in the corners held up by pushpins. Also the trim (pillars?) covers the pushpins/mounts and go on last.

That metal bracket goes in first, then the headliner, then the dome light assembly. There aren't many plastic clips that hold the headliner in, maybe 3 or 4 on each side. I don't remember the exact amount. If you're missing plastic clips, the sun visors, dome light, "oh sh!t" handle, a-pillar trim, b-pillar trim, and the rear trim on the hatch side all help keep the headliner in place.

should be 4 push clips in each corner, there's little tabs on either side of those holes that slide into the body. thats how it was when i swapped my headliner on my old 98
