Alright so, the dizzum is starting to get on my nerves.

So here's the scoop: One headlight goes out, few weeks later the next one goes out, so I have to use my highbeams at night to drive. I've been driving like this for a couple months.

But sometimes when I shut the car off and the high beams are still on they will blink on and off as if the alarm was going off. If I turn them off they will stop, but the headlight relay in the fuse box will tick on and off (at the same rate that the high beams were flashing). So I go to pull it out so my battery doesn't die and i feel the relay physically tick on and off and its hot. The relay looks normal though.

Only thing I can think of is that I have the fog light relay mod done where you can run your fogs and side markers without having to turn your headlgihts on. But I've had this done for as long as I can remember and this problem hasn't always been happening.

Any ideas?

This same shit would happen on my 1G. One day I was driving and I noticed my headlights flashing like hazzards, I popped my hood to find the headlight relay clicking. I just kept turning the ignition on and off and it went away. It still comes back from time to time randomly for no reason. I heard to totally disable the anti theft the main relay is behind the front passenger kick panel. Please PM me if you figure this out or find anything out, its extremely annoying.

I'm going to check the connections on the foglight mod tomorrow.

Come to think of it...My car alarm would go off randomly, and it got so annoying that I disconnected the Anti-Theft Fuse underneath the kick panel. That stopped the tailllights from flashing, but the high-beams still flash. (I don't know if this is a consequence or not?)

So I still haven't figured it out.

But what I have figured out is:

1. My foglight mod has no effect on it because even if I take it out the headlights still don't work.

2. If I take the headlamp relay In/ Out I notice a ticking sound every time it contacts the "slot" it goes in in the fuse box.

3. I tried using another relay of the same voltage (foglamp relay) and the ticking when it contacts is the same, so I know it's not the relay itself.

What is that ticking sound when the relay contacts the "slots"? I'm assuming that's the problem?
