So I'm a little baffled as to what this could be...

As i was driving i noticed my radio cut off and on as I came home. Then i went to go for another drive and noticed my battery and brake dash lights were on. So I promptly turned around and came back home. I checked everything for lose/burnt/exposed wires and i didnt find anything. My alternator is pretty much brand new its one of the "acealternators" from ebay with the higher out put and ive had it for maybe 6K. I then pull the fuse box and notice my headlamp fuse is blown. This seems odd to me because i have a full retrofit HID kit installed with relayed power directly from the batter and each ballast has its own 20A fuse. So if anything there was bad it would have blown ether of the 2 fuses the relay or the last fuse off the battery but they were all fine. The fuses to my radio and amp were also fine, as well as my meth pump ect...

I then swapped my rad fan fuse to the headlamp fuse started the car and the brake light and battery light went off???

Im really at a loss as to what this is. Its definitely an exposed wire somewhere, but where would i even begin to look.

Thanks in advance for the help

Check the deleted headlight wiring . . . If the original headlight wiring is disconnected, & the fuse is still installed - the power to the wiring is still live. Therefore, the wire must have grounded somewhere causing the fuse to blow. Check it out . . . :talon:

How's the condition of the battery?

yeah i looked through all my connections and there doesn't seem to be anything exposed. once i replaced the fuse the battery light and the e-brake light went off. Every thing seems fine now. but my concern is what actually caused it and why the alternator and brake light were triggered when the fuse went.
