To sum it all up, bought a used 1g, put it all back together, went to start for the first time today and nothing. I hear a click and that's all. I'm checking around the engine bay and notice this fuse. Can someone tell me or show me what this should look like? It doesn't look right.

Yeah dude it looks like the 80 amp fuse is totally gone and/or burnt up?!(in the top right of the picture) you can get a replacement at autozone for around $4. its called a "80 amp fusable link"...but it made my car idle very rough when it burnt up! i racked my brain on this one. its in the haynes book chapter 12-2 "fusable links" if you have one! this blew out when my alternator gave out on me.

Pretty much what the guy above me said. Can be picked up from most auto parts store.

I just changed my last night and I think it needed 8mm and 10mm socket to remove it. It had nuts on the side of it by where the wire connects to the fuse. My car was 2g.

Thanks guys. I replaced it. I didn't know I was looking at the actual fuse. Weird. I don't know what happened to the plastic part of it. I bought the car over the winter and am now trying to start it.

Thanks again.
