The other day I was tinkering with the alternator / ps belts and being a dumbass I did not disconnect the alternator plug and ground. Whilst in the process of being a dumbass I just happened to touch a wrench on the alternator and cause ssparking, which blew the 80 amp alternator fuse in the fusebox int eh engien bay. I went to murrays and all they carry is a 60amp. Would 60 amp suffice or does it have to be an 80 totaly? And besides a junkyard or dealership, where could I get one? :talon:

I don't know where you can get an 80 amp. With the 60 amp in it it will be more likely to blow the fuse.

Check other stores that would sell these kind of things. kragen's, autozone, pepboys, hell even home depot. Perhaps an electronic store might even have it. Worse case, just go to the dealer, or wait it out and buy one on ebay.

Yeah I ordered it from the dealer, no parts sotre around here that has it, the closest napa is 30 miles away.

I would make sure to get the right one the first time because that alternator fuse will play hell with your electrical system and pretty much paralyze your car if you're not careful. Trust me I know from experience, having it blow out twice in my old GS-T.
