I saw on a site a few months back EXACTLY how to make the high beam bulb fit into the low beam socket. It said exactly how much you had to cut off each notch and which way to cut. This was for the 2nd gen eclipse not the bmw site everyone is trying to use now. I found it for a friend and I had the projectors but I just switched back to my stock lights and I want as much light as possible.
Thanks,
Jeremy

For more light, I have been diagnosed to be about 45% blind at night so I need all the extra light I can get.

simple fix... go to the eye doctor and purchase / steal eye dialation drops. take them about 20 min before you drive at night. problem solved.

It doesn't seem to affect other traffic.

The mod is the same for all cars, the plugs are DOT standard. You only have to remove the "fins" inside the socket on the bulbs. It doesn't affect the car at all, just the bulb- which could also still be used as a normal hi-beam after the fins are cut, so the whole procedure in non-invasive and fully reversible. The conversion sites recommend adding the O-ring from a low-beam bulb, but I've not found it necessary.

I had another how-to link on an Integra, but it's coming up 404.
