Headlight Bulb Mod Question

For those who are familiar with the 9005 conversion which uses both high beams instead of low beams, is this possible with projectors h1 style bulbs? if so, how?

Give it a try. I've never seen it done. I personally have the 9005 light mod done and it helped out a lot. Cheap projector light output is usually terrible so any help in making them light better is a plus.

any info on this 9005 mod? im guessing you just file off the tabs on the bulb until a 9005 will fit into your low beam housing? I'll search in a little bit but a link is always good in a thread like this.

It doesn't make the difference you'd hope for. I'd say maybe 5%, and that's running 65W lows and 100W hi-beams; that's in 2GA housings, I've not tried 2GB reflectors, yet.
