headgasket bolts need to be torqued and pattern?

taking off my head now but i cant find the pattern or how much torque on alldata? anyone know it

What do you mean not helping? Did you read the link?

10 4 2 5 7 as long as you start in the middle and go in a star pattern it's going to seat properly. p.s. buy the repair CD or a haynes manual.

edit: That info is on alldata, go to torque specifications.

alldata ooo you mean somedata? its giving me 1g specs even though im on my 95, i got the bolt pattern i just did the torque sequence in 40, 60 now i need to know what the final torque is

and i bought new stock bolts

Torque pattern is the same 1g/2g/etc. Final is 80.

okay good i didnt check but i did 80 so i hope its good i got it running on the lift now, gotta clean up and let it run and take it for some runs and see if it overheats when it boosts

Retorque the bolts after 100miles.

No. Put the torque wrench (set to 80ftlbs) back on each nut, and turn until it clicks. Remember to use the same pattern and do it with the engine cold.

DO NOT retorque head bolts.thoes head bolts are a one time torque head bolt.if you retorque thoes bolts after it has been at running temp for awhile you run a high risk of stretching a head bolt.after the 40/80 torque your done

If you are using ARP head studs then they won't stretch and the retorquing is to ensure that there are no leaks and gives the headgasket time to seat itself and expand, all retorquing does is improve the seal (if using the right headstuds, basically not OEM as those will stretch).

He's using stock bolts. So don't retorque, as already mentioned.
