head swap help

Do I need ALL the watter lines off of a 1g to do the swap or are there any I can reuse? I replaced most of them but I'm still having clearance problems behind the turbo with the line from where the oil filter screws in to the thermostat housing. You guys replace that one too? Any other ones? Thanks.

this is a 1g head on a 2g bottom. The head is on .. I just need to do the cooling system.

yea that's the site I've been referring to, but they don't mention anything about replacing that particular line. I got a new "U shaped" line and the thermostat housing too. I'm still confused though .. can someone that has done the swap please help me?? Thanks.

Also ... how do you properly remove the shifter counterweight? It says to remove it ... but not how to do it. I can't get my head down in there far enough to see how it comes off. Thanks again.
