my car started to smoke about 2 months ago. (the motor was rebuilt about 10k miles ago: did a compression test abiut 4 months ago; 175-178 across the board) at first i started to think it was my turbo (in and out shaft play) so i got a a 20g and had it rebuilt. tonight i started to pull of my exhaust manifold/turbo and i noticed that there was no oil on the turbine wheel or compressor wheel. so i knew it wasnt my turbo that was smoking.... i then looked in side my exhaust runner on the cylinder head(4) and saw that there was a whole mess of oil on the top of the valve right under the seal... so im guessing that was my smoke problem.
secondly, my motor started to blow out my dipstick and blow oil out my front main seal, my question; will a bad valve seal cause this? i know my rings arnt worn ( i hope) because compression was all good about 4months ago... here are some pics, what do you guys think..
also, i do have a mls head gasket, do you guys think i will be ok to reuse it?
heres a pic of a good port
also, what do you guys think about the cylinder wall?
