I just did my headgasket last summer. It's really not to difficult just make sure you have all your stuff in order before you start. it's also good if you kind of mark things like your hoses and make sure your timing is right (e.c.t) as well to make sure you hook everything up the right way when your done. make sure your head and block are flat too. Just make sure you have a manual with you so you know what order and how to tighten down the bolts. all in all it's not to bad, it's just a lot of wlrk LOL.

step 1: 58Ft.-Lbs.
step 2: Loosen completely
step 3: 15Ft.-Lbs.
step 4: Tighten 1/4-turn
step 5: Tighten 1/4-turn further

is this the correct torque secuence for the stock head bolts?

Yes I believe so, (If I remember corectly LOL) . I believe what I did was

1 tighten bolts in corect sequence to 58 ft. lbs
2 loosen completely in the reverse order
3 tighten bolts in the corect sequence to 15 ft. lbs
4 then I marked the bolthead and the cylinder head at the same spot, and went 90 degrees from the mark.
5 then I tightend an additional 90 degrees so the mark on the bolt is opposite the mark on the cylinder head. :thumb:
