No.

As far as I've seen, almost all headgaskets will be ok until the bore gets larger than .040 over, at which point you're doing to have difficulty finding a set of pistons.

im asking becaue cometic only makes a head gaskets in .20 and .40 over and it doent seem that it would seal properly if the gasket wasnt the same size as the bore.

It will seal fine, get the .040 overbore one.
