Hey guys,
I have a 1995 Eclipse Rs and it seems to break down alot.... I wanted to start doing some of my own simple repairs and maintence. What maintence guides do you guys use: Haynes, Chiltons or something else? Which guide is best for a newbie?

well, if you can find the haynes get that. they are 500 times better than chiltons. chiltons manuals cover so many models and model years its freakin ridiculous. they probably put the friggin 3g in with the 1g and 2g.

The new 2G Haynes is the first one I've been at all disappointed with, they've taken the Chilton route and have mixed the 2G and "3G", and they've resorted to "typical" wiring diagrams. It's also printed on crappier paper than the usual Haynes.

Ii got a Haynes book I HATE THAT DAMN BOOK it has you filping all over the ####ing thing...

but then i have not seen the other books so they are probly way worse if you guys think Haynes is good..

i was joking about combining the 2g and 3g, and it surprises me that haynes did that.

I like the 1g haynes. It's really not bad and not hard to navigate once you get used to it. I've worn out chapter 2 a and 2b for those of you with a haynes.
