Having small issues with 95 gst

First off when i start the car, it likes to rev up and down before it warms up.. now ive adjusted the throttle cable, it has helped but continues to do it..

i also have coolant issues.. my coolant level stays the same on my guage but my motor is gets really hott when i do tests.

another thing is my gas gauge says 1/4 of a tank and my gas light comes on. could my gauge cluster just be bad?

sometimes the needles stick on my cluster could possibly be that,the idle issue is most likely your iac sensor located on the back lower side of the throttle body there is a way to test it with a voltmeter

Unplug the IAC while the car is running to see if it makes it idle higher. Or it could possibly be the idle screw on the throttle body.

What do you mean "do tests"? The stock temp guage, like the boost guage is very uhh inaccurate. Unless your very low on coolant and are overheating, its going to stay right about in the middle. And I dont know about you but, 185-210 degrees is pretty hot to me! haha!

-sounds like the IAC sensor which you could try cleaning it but most likely you'll need a new one. unplug and see if it idles up.
-the sending unit in your tank could be bad.
-the stock coolant gauges are in accurate get an aftermarket one.

Your Idle is "Hunting / Surging", Check the following.

^agreed on the coolant, you may be low on coolant, or have a bubble in the system.
* do this on a cold engine*
1. Remove radiator cap.
2. Start engine
3. fill with coolant/water/beer
4. Let the engine reach operating temp
5. Visually look to see if coolant is flowing, if not check thermostat.
6. once you see flow finish adding coolant to top off.
7 replace radiator cap, and refill reservoir when engine returns to cold.

could be as simple as your coolant temp sensor.. that is known sometimes to cause idle issues.
