having problems with my A/F guage

when me and my friends hooked up my guages we ran into a problem we had everything hooked up and the guages worked fine but with my A/F guage it was making my car smoke and i was woundering if anyone else had that problem? How can i fix it?

It's possible that your wiring is incorrect. You are supposed to tap the O2 wire at the ECU. If you somehow cut it, your car could get really lean or rich and smoke... But that's all I think of.
