having a problem with my aem wideband

I have noticed that after my car warms up my wideband loses signal to the gauge... it will jump back and forth from reading it to not reading it. I checked the ground this morning but it was okay... could this be my O2 sensor or maybe a break in the wire from the O2 to the gauge?

electrical things do crazy stuff when they are warm. i would say your sensor is craping out on you, check the connectors for the sensor and all the wiring and if they are good that would be a good bet about the sensor.

If it's AEM, most likely you need a new sensor...they burn out quicker on leaded fuel, just FYI if you're ever running race gas.

Funny story, I had a shop years back (to remain anonymous) install a new AEM for me while I had some other work done. Long story short, when I picked up the car, the guy told me the sensor was bad on the wideband.....well uh.....you just installed a new one for me, that I ordered from you! He tried to tell me he didn't even remember he did it, but anyways....he ordered me a new sensor because we just assumed we got a bad one from the factory. Besides someone trying to rip me off, it turns out that when they did install it, they bent one of the pins in the guage itself leaving one pin with no connection....just happend to look at it one day...and sure enough fixed it and the guage worked fine.

Anyways, I guess the moral of the story is check the pins just in case. Oh yeah and like me now, do all your own work.
