First of all let me tell you what kind of car, it is a 92 Talon TSI. I just installed a Auto Meter Tach. I wired everything correct. I wired the tach signal wire straight to my ECU which alot of you told me it was the number 21 pin which is the cam angle sen. Well when that wire is hooked up my car wont start and when i disconnect it it starts just fine. I was woundering if anyone has had the same problem and if so what could it be? Also if you know of anywhere else to splice into. I also tryied the white wire on my transitor.

i spiced mines into the white wire of the actual cam angle sensor coming off the valve cover but the problem is mines doesnt read right, the rpms on the stock gauge will read like 4thousand while the auto meter tach reads like 2, its always lower than the stock rpm gauge... I never had the motivation to figure out why its like that our wire it to the right wire, but it still lets me set shift points, but to be honest I never use it or even look at my tach anymore its just something else sitting on the dash LOL... I dont know your questoin though never ran it to the ecu.

because i have a little problems seeing my original tach so i wanted something bigger. Pluse a hate glasses. I know sounds pretty stupid.
