I am looking for the feedback on the following tracks.

http://www.mcir.net/

This is in Marion, Ohio. It looks ok in the pictures but not spectacular. If you have ever been whats it like? Is tech strict, how much was it, how good are they are getting things going again if someone breaks and so on. Share anything you feel relevant.

This is in Martin, Michigan. It looks really nice and from the 2 reviews I have found sounds really good. However I would still like more feedback. If you have ever been whats it like? Is tech strict, how much was it, how good are they are getting things going again if someone breaks and so on. Share anything you feel relevant.

Thanks in advance.

Us 131 is a great track, sometimes on test and tune days can get real busy and limits your number of runs. Crew is pretty good about prep and cleanup, and tech doesnt seem too strict.

US131 is the track that all of us west Michigan guys go to. It's a nice track. Tech is not very strict, especially for the Midnight Madness events.

Kind of a long drive from Ft. Wayne though, dont you think?

Its defiently a haul from South Bend, cant imagine from Ft. Wayne. We always tow our cars there you sure dont want to be breaking what you drove up there. Makes for a expensive tow bill.

It is a long haul for sure, about 2 hours. However the closest track to me is Muncie and that is already 1.5 hours so it's not much worse. I miss living in Orlando where OSW was open all year and open 2 nights a week for test and tune. Not to mention it was just a 20 minute drive.

I agree breaking that far from home sucks but it's the risk you take.

If it rains this Saturday (Which I think it will but hope it won't Muncie will be closed) so you all can expect to see me at 131 the following Saturday (April 7th) racing the Galant. If it doesn't rain and I get to race this Saturday I will give the car a break for a couple weeks and likely be at 131 on the 14th or 21st.

Yeah it's not to far but no one seems to know anything about it, nor does it look that great in pictures. I will go to 131 at least once this year though for sure.

Check the local forum, even if it's clear I might not be able to go to Muncie tomorrow but I'll sure try. The clutch just decided to start slipping last night after I finally got the car tuned with the WB02. I am gonna take it out tonight and see what she does. If it holds I'll head down and just launch it softly.

US 131 is pretty good I agree the tech for test and tune isn't that tough, usually.

They wouldn't let me run my bike there without leather pants and a kill switch though. I pulled out the rule book showing the lady there that I didn't need them for my stock ZX7R ninja (other than gears and exhaust) but she said those are the track rules, and wouldn't let me race. so I went back got a refund and watched my friends race their cars.
That was a couple of years ago but I didn't want to cut up my throttle or buy the pants $$$, just to see how much faster the gears and full exhaust made the bike.

As for cars last time I was there all they really looked for was a catch can, battery hold downs, rubber fuel line length and no random stuff in the car. pretty easy.
This was last june and it was fairly hot so not many people were there and I actually hot laped a few runs. They also have a scale right before the time slip shack, that you can roll over to get your weight too. I believe that they also have race gas there to sell as well (torco)
The pits are mostly grass with asphalt roads between
Pretty nice place.
I don't know if there is a sign on the turn going to the track but just get off 131 exit at martin and turn west right after the gas station is the road to the track heading south, it's at the end of the road. can't miss it.

the track in ohio mcir is scarry as hell the shutoff fells like you are going over speed bumps. there are new owners this year who look to improve it I honestly would say its not worth the drive unless you live about 30 minutes away. the track is old and rundown.. I have personally raced there several times and dont like it but thats what was open when I had time.
