have a 420a throwing up codes

i recently got a 96 eclipse rs, and yesterday i pulled into 711 came back out hoped in my car and wouldnt start on its own i had to give it alittle gas which i shouldnt have to do right. anyway im leaving the parking lot pushed the clutch in pulled it out of gear to roll up to the corner and it died and my stering locked up. the car will start but die imediatly unless u feather the gas i pluged it in and it threw up 2 codes p0401 insuficiant egr flow and p0113 intake air temp i dont think the egr is causing this im really in dire need of some dsm tech i think it has to be one of the following the iat, map, mas , vack leek or cloged injectors i would really appreciate some feedback from a few people i need this fixed asap and im stuck doin circles just a begining mechanic.

definatly check ## MAP sensor. if u start it does it just crank? and do u have to hold the gas pedal to get it started?

It will start like 2 times normal but die right after unless im on the gas

go to a local junk yard and pull a MAP sensor try that. get a fuel pressure tester and test ## fuel pressure. ensure u have enough fuel being delivered to ## engine

could be a combination of things but mine did the same and i changed the MAP and it started fine. will it stay idle? if so carefully push in the diaphram on the egr valve it the engine dies its good if it stays running replace it

You can rule out a Mass Air Flow. Your car doesn't have it. The EGR code is more than likely a plugged EGR port. I would be looking more towards the Intake Temp code. But.....

Has the CEL been on for a while or did it come on right after all of this happened?

Did you put gas in your car while you were at the 7-11?

And PLEASE!! There is this thing called a period. Use it in your sentences. I hate reading... and having to read something twice to understand it sucks a$$.

Thanks bro im about to go to the yard by my house and pick one up tomarow. try that and see where it gets me. also my front end is making noise when i lean on the driver side would that be my ball joints or struts?

where is my mas and map are the on the throttle body or what i dont know could they be on the manifold?

you dont have a mas sensor. you have a map sensor. its located on the intake manifold, passanger side. you can rule the iat sensor out. i was running my car without one on the obx for a year. no problems
