I ask because I TIG weld, and I'm wondering why I can't just cut the top cap off, add another spring to the diaphragm and weld the top back on. I might have to do just a little at a time and sit it in water or something to keep from melting whatever material seals it, but if that's it I'm very interested vs just crushing it.
Opinions? Anyone got a old one collecting dust to donate cheap? I'll document the process and post a wright up if it's successful. I'd rather not use my 1 and only recirculation valve.
My thought is this would keep the operation as factory but then should hold more boost. Only concern is melting something that shouldn't be ugh melted.
