Hard to start

lately, the car seems to be having trouble starting. It takes me 5-10 seconds of cranking to start. If I crank it for a few seconds, then stop and try again, it always starts up. The car has never not started, it just takes a little work. I haven't noticed anything different performance wise..........I let many people look at it but no one has a clue, so I decided to turn the the guys that know ALL the ins and outs of this kind of car...

Any ideas?

I have had the same problem with bad injector seal or a leak on the fuel system. Everytime you turn the car off the fuel pressure leaks out and that why you have to crank it so many time to get the fuel back in the lines.

Is the car throwing any CELs? Many hard start problems come back to the coolant temp sensor going bad, so that might be a good place to start.

I had dry starts when I took my injectors out. The o rings blew out when I put them back in. I would replace all the O rings in the injectors first. Then do a fuel pressure check.

im having hard cold start after doing my 6bolt swap in my 2g, i just noticed that my fuel pressure does drop off pretty quickly after shutting off the car, coolant temp sensor is new and they have good continuity, fiav tested good but i ordered a fiav block off to check that, my 2g maf is hacked but that shouldnt matter, currently car has key diver installed but i have link sitting on the desk ready to go in, also on a side note my cooling fans are not kicking on any ideas? i do have boost leak just ordered a new tb gasket set.

Stock FPR or aftermarket AFPR? Many aftermarket AFPR's bleed off very quickly, which will cause hard starting.
