thats how you adjust your BOV. i have mine set at soft because it will sputter when tightened

when you say adjust, do you mean at what psi the bov will activate, or...

No. The bov will let off as soon as you close throttle. The screw just tightens it to hold a certain amount of boost. You want to adjust it to hold just enough boost that you want to run. If it's too tight it won't blow off right and it will surge and flutter.

It is pretty much a trial and error process. I dont know if this is correct, but this is how i have mine set:
You want it to release when it hits about 1 psi, but you dont want it to release if it is below 0 psi. It is hard to get it set right, because you have to test it, then get out and pop the hood and reset it. then do it again. if anyone has a better setting for doing this or if i am compeltely off, please let me know. cause i want to make sure i have it set right.

I don't think it will release when there is no boost. But i do have mine set so that it lets off even at 1-2 psi also. I thought having it set that low would be bad for running high boost but i still manage to creep up to 20. Shows why the Greddy Type S is such a good device.

also yuo need ot make sure its not letting off at half throttle.....make sur eyou adjust it so when your cruising and your at like half boost it doesnt let off.....i had that prob with my turbo xs

Ive found that 8 threads on the bolt showing seems to work from a 13psi to 18psi swing.
