It doesnt really matter of how many miles are on the engine it just matters if the car has been taken care of. Oil changes, Timing Belt, ect. My car has over 100,000 on it and it runs good. :talon: ESI 2 TSI

You can try a compression test and see how it stacks up to spec. Some others might be able to tell you what numbers to look for as I am unsure right off the top of my head but this would let you know if its at least decently strong enough.

I had just had my engine rebuilt before I turbo'ed so I was pretty sure I was safe. Probably could've done a compression test before so to be safe but I trusted my mechanic enough, I guess. :)

If your engine is weak and you dont want to rebuild :dsm: has a crate engine program for 3500 they install and warranty the work just a little food for thought

^^^^ that's CRAZY!!!!! For that kind of money you could buy a prebuilt block and rebuild your head.... That's with all forged go fast parts too.. I wouldn't pay 3500 for a stock rebuilt anything....
