I have the HAHN intercooler. I'm getting knock agt 6Krpms. Wondering if the cooling rows are to big and not cooling the charge enough for the airflow or if it could maybe be my SBR bridge ported 02 housing.

Boost 19-20 psi, air intake temp 25 degress. Stock timing, A/F 10.5:1 at 6,000. Getting 2 degrees of timing pulled due to the knock.

I would post a datalog in the tuning section and see what kind of response you get. Updating your vehicle profile is a good idea too.

What HRC IC are you running? If its the sidemount I would say that is your problem, its not physically big enough to cool the evoII at the boost your running. At 18 psi I would sometime see knock at 6000 rpms or so. As soon as I switched to a fmic, zero knock.

Too big? no i dont think so im running a 24x10x3 bar and plate core with 2.5" pipe and it just just fine with the evo 16g

I second that. I am running 2.5" piping as well with a core a bit larger than that and loved it. Full boost at 2600, good throttle response, and excellent cooling. If I had only planned on running an EVO, I would have gotten a smaller one but I knew I would eventually upgrade.
