red91tsiawd thank you for the input on your 20g. thats what i was looking for. i am not realy trying to get to a specific 1/4 time i dont run my car at the track all that much. i do have the ocasional light to light races and my buddys and i go out and see whos faster on the weekends. my car is a daily driver so i need to still be streetable and i dont mind lag untill 4k i want more topend i dont want to have my turbo fall out any time soon. my AWD already sucks on the freeway maybe a bigger turbo with more of a flow rate will help me. also not having full spool up until 4k is that on a stock motor? i am in the works of swaping in a 6bolt built from GT motorsports. most of my interest are in beating cars on the street i have taken a few supposed to be fast STI's and mostly stock supras and rx-7s. i have seen the times from these cars and they run mid 12's and if i am beating them buy 5 or 6 lengths i asume i am in the same range time wise. i just want the upper edge and more top end. also not to waste a prefectly good motor. this turbo setup should only be on my car untill may of next year and after i put on the stock crap and smog it i will go with a full garette setup as for now i need semi decent turbo to last one year and be quick with an internal waste gate.

Rather than just go to a bigger turbo if you are going Garrett later, why not get some 264/272 cams to improve your upper rpms and gain about 25whp there and tweak and tune your current setup to gain more power.

Just seems there is more you can do with what you have and then go garrett rather than adding another step. Maybe add a carbon fiber driveshaft to cut down on drivetrain loss?

Propan injection, etc...

Like I said, there is probably another 40HP to squeeze out of that at least.
 
i have the new motor on hold its done top to bottom and i have HKS 272 intake and exhaust cams that are going in it. and the turbo i have on is just a hold over its not all that great it works better then the one that went out of course but its still a pile. not matter what i need to replace my exhaust manifold and my o2 housing and down pipe so i might as well get a better turbo while i am going to be under my car. also on the whole drift shaft thing do the carbon drive shafts last very long? and who is a reputable company making them? sounds like something i need to be doing.
 
actualy just put it this way i have a whole new setup and a need a simple larger hold over turbo until may of 2005.

ok so im sure you get the point of what is going on at my home besides that im broke and need a decent turbo to get me from now till smog or maybe sooner. just wondering what people think of there hahn 20gs besides that they spool slow. and i realy realy dont think i will have a problem spooling any turbo at all.
 
Why not just get a regular 20G? Or a TD06H-20G? They are proven turbos. And they spool up pretty fast. And they have gone faster than any Hahn turbo ever has.
