Yeah, from moates.net; the same place I got my chip burner. This setup requires no modifications. The cable plugs into the socket in the ecu, then into a socket on a little board that the chip goes on to which I plugged a ZIF socket into for easy chip changes. The cable is 18" long.

Thanks for the site address. Have you had any issue with the chip vibrating loose while it's in the ZIF socket?

I would think a ZIF socket would hold it tighter than a normal socket does.

That is probably one of the coolest looking setups I have seen in a while. The keyed switch over is pretty sweet (and safe). Good job man .

I'd love to be in closed-loop mode almost all the time.

How would it be better to be closed loop almost all the time? Would you use it with a wide-band O2 sensor and set up an A/F target map or something?

AFR's always right on. Yes.

No a machine pin socket does a much better job. Under shock a ZIF can pop open.

Well maybe if you chuck your ecu at a wall, I don't see how else one like mine could unlatch.
