I just purchased a sweet little dual image PnP board for my 1g. I plan on installing this weekend i really did not want to hack my eprom ecu so at $40 I thought it was worth it. Now im thinking i can have a 110 octane high boost tune but still keep my 93 octane tune cause i do a lot of driving in the summer.

Just installed works like it is supposed to. I am going to do a write-up soon on the install it was very simple.

Holy cow, you can get an eprom burner and a whole tube of switchable eproms for that.
 
yeah u could do it that way, but u run into alot of risk also. i mean its personal preference, but i will tell you its one hell of a product.

They both are doing exactly the same thing, pulling A14 low to select between two address ranges in the EPROM.

There is a small but non-zero chance of the ECU crashing when flipping the switch so you don't want to be doing it as you going down the track or out on the highway.

Ya I just meant its not invasive with the board,Where as you could damage your Ecu if you F*** up cutting the traces on the board
 
Yes the modified socket is much easier if you have no soldering skills vs $2 for wire, switch, pull up resistor and snubber cap. If your going to do much switching you might want to look into putting that $40 towards a Ostrich and have complete control over images.
 
mine is on a keyed switch, which is something he reccomends in his instructions.
