There is some truth there. Ive never seen a fast honduh in person. Fastest one ive ever seen was at dsm shootout last year haha. Ran like a 12.8. There are some local turbo'd hondas running 13+.

this is the type of threads, that make us DSM owners look and sound stupid, why make a stupid thread on hondas? dude just keep it to your self, i owned both hondas and dsm's, and right now i own a honda for daily.. but this is really not necessary. this thread sucks, also this no way of not replying to this, when people like this are too focus on talking %^&*#(@ about other makes and models, if they rev at you on a new old fast or slow civic, then cool probably some highschool kids messing around dont know any better. dont mind them they are more likely to do high 17 at 1/4 anyways, ignorance is the key they like when others do what you do, get frustrated over their stupidness...

The most impressive thing about the hatch is he has full boost at like 6500rpm, and shifts at 10K, so it's no dyno queen.

A friend of mine also just finished putting his turbo integra together, basic 300whp setup, but in a light car it'll move.

Of course, 99% of them are slow, but there are a few respectable and a few very fast ones around.


That said, FWD is a deal breaker for me. I'll stick with RWD and AWD cars.

Yea we'll see what they have this year. There's always alot of "im about to do this" or "i bought this just haven't installed it yet" kind of stuff. But I had to start over with a new car this year so i'll probably be right there with em haha.

I just cant get into those guys who have like 25k wrapped up into a hatch with a k swap, etc. Yea there running 12's with a stock motor but damn.

@ people taking this thread to heart... see the fun part about owning a fast car is the fact you KNOW you'll stomp out most cars on the road... it just so happens i enjoy making a quick snack out of lil hondas (eagle ref.)

im just poking fun that MOST honda owners think they rule the road (at least around here they do)

My gsr del sol ran 13.8 at 102 no boost no bottle on cheap hankook k104s. there is a reason a drive the honda daily and not the dsm. Reliability, by no means are dsms not reliable as my talon has never left me sit. I have respect for all people who invest money into cars.

Whoa chill fanboy. See those sponsors slapped all over that sucker? You cant compare a big money sponsored drag car to the average honda owner. I think most people give respect where its due. Just many like myself dont come across a fast honda. Like i said the fastest honda ive ever seen in person ran a 12.8. Nothing to get to excited about. And in my opinion it is a terrible platform. The only thing it has going for it is weight. There is no "easy" motor swaps for those cars, like the honda kids make it out to be. K swap runs like 10k and is pretty involved. About as easy as putting a 4g in a hatch.

If your going to make the point about fwd maybe you should google kiggly.

There is a fwd doing better than a 6 second run backed up by another car that just did a 7 sec run. Where is a video of this fwd both of the ones i mentioned are rwd? And I think shep still has the 7.7 with the awd for the record unless im mistaken.
