i know the difference between the jdm engine and usdm engine.
what about transmissions. i searched and found that they have a longer first gear, are they just basically the same, i thought i read once they had stronger 2nd gears.
anyone know of any differences??

I belive some are also switchable between FWD and AWD.

Correct. The one I got was switchable from AWD to FWD. There's two plates, one on the transmission and one on the transfer case, that you have to take out (they're just two 12mm bolts on the outside of the housings). Just jack the car up and unbolt them, they're pretty easy to get to.
